Christmas is the time of giving.

So when you’re ending the day surrounded by crumpled piles of wrapping paper, empty Quality Street boxes, and the new socks, shiny gadgetry, and Lynx Africa giftsets you’ve just got, wouldn’t it feel good to know you’ve given something back? And not just to Auntie Jean?

Pact’s 2021 charity partner: FareShare

FareShare’s mission is to tackle hunger in the UK by preventing the waste of nutritious food and distributing it to vulnerable people in need. Each week, the food Fareshare provides to charities is the equivalent of almost a million meals.

The contribution FareShare makes to thousands of community organisations cannot be overstated - one in five charities say they would have to close without FareShare. The food they supply to frontline organisations enables them in providing the essential support needed to get people back on their feet.

For every bag of our Christmas Blend you buy, we’ll be donating 50p to FareShare via Work For Good. So not only will your purchase contribute to a better quality of life for the 130+ farmers we work with, you’ll also be helping to tackle food waste and hunger in the UK.

Food waste in the UK at a glance

Did you know…

  • 3.6 million tonnes of food is wasted each year by the food industry.
  • More than 2 million tonnes of aforementioned wasted food is still good to eat.
  • 8.4 million people in the UK struggle to put food on the table.
  • 4.7 million of those people are from severely food insecure homes – meaning household members’ food intake is significantly restricted, regularly resulting in physical hunger.

Support FareShare by purchasing our Christmas Blend!

We’ve carefully chosen three coffees that, when combined, give us major Christmas pudding vibes – Kiungu from Kenya, Mendonca from Brazil and Mi Tazita Honey from Honduras. This triple origin bunch leads to a heavenly coffee that’s bursting with Yuletide flavours. This blend delivers hints of Christmas spices, citrus peel, molasses and sweet raisins - you might even get a bit of a brandy kick, too! Available in filter, espresso or decaf options – however you take your coffee, this is a must have for the festive season.
