With summer in full swing, maybe a classic espresso martini doesn’t sound quite so appealing. But what about this delicious frozen twist?
Ingredients:
- 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
- 1 ounce coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa)
- 1 ounce vodka
- 1 tablespoon simple syrup
- Ice
Instructions:
- Pour the espresso, coffee liqueur, vodka, and simple syrup into a blender.
- Add ice until the blender is about half full.
- Blend until smooth and slushy.
- Pour into chilled martini glasses and garnish with coffee beans.
Tips:
- For a smoother drink, use cold espresso. You can make the espresso the night before and chill it in the refrigerator.
- If you don’t have simple syrup, you can make your own by dissolving 1 part sugar in 1 part water over low heat.
- To make a salted espresso martini, add a pinch of flaky sea salt to the top of each drink.
Enjoy!
